A Desert Dweller Dreaming of the Coast

It is with knowledge that we are best able to connect with the world around us. I have always had a great zeal for learning and a deep need to connect with those around me. I have this mindset that there is always something you can learn from another person, even if you think you disagree. I have also found that every trial and problem is an opportunity for growth and learning. I am most passionate about languages and being able to communicate with and understand others. Traveling around the world is a major goal of mine.

I am currently working as a licensed Realtor where I am able to assist people from all walks of life. I am used to uncovering details about people and helping them find a product (a home) that meets their needs.  A growth mindset is important to have in this industry because situations often arise that force a person to step out of their comfort zone. I appreciate every new opportunity that is placed before me to learn.

User Experience Design appeals to me because it fulfills my need for knowledge while allowing me to connect with people. I plan to obtain a position as a UX researcher so I can continually learn something new about various industries and their users.  I feel that I am well suited to the role of UX researcher because it aligns well with many of my core beliefs and passions. I am excited for the adventures that await me in this new chapter of my life, and I await each new opportunity with anticipation.
